MRI of the soft tissues of the neck

MRI of the soft tissues of the neck allows you to identify areas of inflammation, abscesses, congenital anomalies, lymph node lesions and vascular pathology, stretching or thinning of muscles, as well as detect small tumors.

Doctors prescribe MRI of the soft tissues of the neck when: - serious injury to the area; - the presence of foreign objects in the larynx, esophagus and soft tissues; - inflammatory diseases; - - pathology of lymph nodes; - - diseases of the salivary and thyroid glands; - soft tissue tumors; - the presence of neoplasms of non-tumor etiology (for example, cysts). Despite the high information content and safety of MRI, the study has contraindications: - the presence of a pacemaker or metal prosthetic heart valves; - any metal prostheses and implants; - severe form of renal insufficiency (during examination with contrast).
